What is Born Wild?

Welcome to Octoberfest isn’t a standalone idea. It’s the newest addition to a defined sub-series, joining Beersburg Fest Hold and Win and Lucky Fest Hold and Win in the studio’s line of Oktoberfest-inspired slots.

That repetition matters. It shows 1spin4win building recognizable, reusable theme families it can refresh annually, which gives operators a familiar hook to slot into the same promotional window each September and October.

The new title steps outside the series’ usual framework, though. Where the earlier Oktoberfest entries leaned on the studio’s Hold and Win engine, this slot brings together ice-cold Märzen, sizzling bratwurst, salted pretzels, Tyrolean hats, and friendly locals ready to say “Prost!” Winning combinations can reach up to x2000 of the bet.

Baldwin and fellow casino entrepreneur Shawn Scott arrived in Laos in 2007 with ambitious plans to build a casino business aimed partly at customers crossing the country’s borders.

The pair established Sanum Investments and partnered with Laotian conglomerate ST Group. Baldwin later testified that the investors initially committed around $7.5 million to the venture, which envisaged two casino resorts and several slot clubs.

Their biggest success was Savan Vegas, strategically located near the Friendship Bridge linking Laos with neighboring Thailand across the Mekong River. A planned second resort, Paksong Vegas, was never built.

What is Born Wild?

In 2021, Judge Gloria Navarro sentenced Rashid to 33 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Ore., followed by three years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty to one count of using an interstate facility in aid of unlawful activity—specifically, a prostitution service.

According to the FBI, which raided his Las Vegas house on human trafficking warrants in 2014, Rashid “persuaded, induced, enticed and caused hundreds of victims to prostitute themselves for his benefit” beginning in 2002.

“Rashid operated a high-end prostitution business that transported victims across the United States, using various paid websites … to advertise the victims for prostitution purposes,” read a press release from the US attorney’s office, District of Nevada.
